Well it’s amazing how a trip to Louisiana will Change a person. Now us Texans have our accents YALL, but those Louisiana boys have a language not heard of. Those guys from Louisiana had us all speaking Louisianian by the end of the weekend HA. We got a lot of love for those Louisiana boys. They showed us a hell of a time for the 1st Relaxin on the Bayou show, hosted by Relaxed Atmosphere. We first rolled into town late that Friday night and setup shop at the Laquinta hotel. We were surprised to see that the parking lot was full of rides so low that they could crush crawfish. It seemed that the car show was at the hotel, so we knew we were going to be in store for a hell of a weekend. The next day, we got to the show grounds around noon just because I am not much of a morning person. I mean after all it is 2am while I am writing this. We pulled up to meet Jason Vidrine’s Staff at the front sitting there bored as hell drinking a beer! You know you would think some of these show staff would have more to do. (Just kidding Jason) Actually we had to go over who we were shooting for about half a dozen times. Ha, that Louisiana accent was coming out bad when you’re trying to say Yourscenemag.com!
We finally got that straight, and they had to get on the radio to get Jason over there, because he was out working hard riding a 4wheeler around. Jason came over and hooked us up with our Media passes, and let us in on a top secret wet T-shirt contest that was going to happen at the camp area that night. (This was a good piece of information to know!) Well after that, we got our VIP parking spot right up by the show grounds, and got set up. To start the day off right, we had to crack open at least one beer. Then we were off stomping through the show grounds checking out some of the sickest rides Louisiana had to offer.
Remember, I said this was the first year this show was put on, and the grounds where covered in high quality rides. That is what I call some bad arse promotion work! Well we made our way around, and it was good to see that a lot of the popular Vendors were out there such as Crime Pays Video, KIK, Twisted Inc DVD, DropJawMag.com, Sickness Video, and Edge Wear.

Of course we couldn’t forget the many, food and drink vendors which after all, that’s all I really came to Louisiana for anyway was the food! They had your gator, crawfish, and any other Cajun meal your stomach could handle. Saturday went GREAT!!! We couldn’t have asked for better weather. As we were wrapping things up, we hung out with some of our buddies from Twisted Inc as they were being very loud on the Loud Speaker.
While hanging out with Twisted Inc, we received our first account of bad news of the day. The Wet T-shirt contest was canceled! It was canceled on the account of some UL(University of Louisiana) Students beating some Monkeys. YES, MONKEYS at an exotic animal farm. The press was all over it, so it shut down the Wet T-shirt contest. That wasn’t that bad, Twisted Inc. had a nice little drag session setup, so that helped the night out a bit more, but all and all this is a MUST go show for next year.
We had a great time, and now I can talk in a new language though I must return to my native tongue of Texan before I get home. If you’re looking for any information on the next Relaxin On The Bayou go Checkout http://RelaxinontheBayou.com or checkout LaTruckScene.net. Well until the next stop on the tour this is BigRyan signing off!
