Texas Showdown did not disappoint! As expected on Saturday, a line to get into the show stretched from the entrance of the Sam Houston Race Park to the main road. It seemed like an endless train of custom cars and trucks. When you see a line like this and people performing their final detailing tricks before getting through the gate, you know you are in for one amazing show. This year’s Texas Showdown took place on June 13-14th, 2009 at the Sam Houston Race Park in Houston Texas.

The weather was great all weekend. To all the sun warriors out there, we hope you were able to keep hydrated and cool in the hot Texas heat.The heat is something to be expected, but battling the sun is definitely worth it. From lifted to lowered, big wheels to big stereos, across the showgrounds were quality customs to please any taste. Personally I’m not a fan of pink, but my favorite ride had to be the classic pink and white two tone vw bug. When you wanted to take a break from the show, the Texas Showdown crew had wide array of activities to keep you entertained. For the audio buff there was a sound off competition by USACI, a burn out competition for you motor heads by RimCO, a large list of vendors for all your aftermarket shopping, and live musical performances. If you missed it this year, I highly advise you to go next year. Texas showdown is just one of those shows you have to experience in person.
