The base is a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado 5 cylinder auto. The smooth exterior look has been accomplished by shaving just about everything on the factory sheet metal. The body features shaved handles, and 3rd brake light. The factory tail lights in the rear were shaved, and replaced with dual LEDs. The rear has been completely smoothed out ditching the tailgate in favor of a calicombo, with frenched in tag box in the bottom.
Covering the smooth exterior is a custom viper red, silver, green and black paint job. You will find touches of red diamond plate airbrushed throughout the paint. On the cowl induction hood you will find a touch of class provided by chrome Chevrolet emblems from a 56′ Bellaire. The inside of the bed was treated to a raised factory floor, and coated with a color matched red bed liner. Hinting the air ride adjustable suspension system underneath, the bed contains two color matched red air tanks.
A touch of class is added by a 56′ Belair Emblem.
A custom center console houses an LCD panel & gauges for the air suspension system.
The engine bay is detailed with red bedliner, and touches of black diamond plate.
To match the outside, the red and black theme is carried into the interior. To improve the looks from drivers view, the factory dash was smoothed, and painted red to match the truck, with black, diamond plate inserts. The factory steering wheel was also replaced with a polished one from B.A.D. Following the red carpet to the back of the truck, is a custom sub enclosure that houses four Memphis Audio Subwoofers. The power behind beats is provided by two Memphis Audio Amplifiers. A pop up head unit by Kenwood controls the audio system. A custom center console houses an extra LCD screen, and controls for the air suspension system. While leaning on the black diamond plate armrest the driver views four gauges to monitor the air suspension system. To improve driver, and also passenger comfort a pair of black leather seats replace the factory ones, while a billet mirror provides the driver with view of on lookers from behind.
Powering the Colorado, is a mostly factory 5cyl motor with custom touches of black diamond plate to match the outside theme. Inner fenders have been replaced with custom tubs, and covered in red be liner to match the bed.
To get the Colorado on the ground, an air suspension system was created to replace the factory set up. Shockwaves and a Suicidedoors.com 4 link combined with a body drop get this Colorado on the ground. Bolted to the custom suspension, is a set of 20×8 Crocus Wheels by Bonspeed Wheels wrapped in 245/35/20 tires keep this Colorado rolling in style!
Special thanks to Andrew Schoen, and all the people that took part in the original build.
